Honor a Woman Who Has Made a Difference in Your Life
Share
the story of a woman who influenced, inspired, nurtured or
transformed your life. The YWCA is in the process of
publishing a book called, Inspiring Women. It will tell
the personal stories of the remarkable women who shaped our lives.
By telling her story, you also support the YWCA of Lewiston,
ID-Clarkston, WA. The YWCA empowers women to change their
lives through the safety of our domestic violence shelter and by
providing guidance and hope to homeless families.
Who can participate?
Anyone who wants to honor a woman by telling her story and
pledges $300 to become a story sponsor.
How will the "inspiring women" be honored?
Their stories and photos will be collected and shared by
compiling them into a professionally bound and published keepsake
book. One copy of the book will be given to each donor; copies
will be distributed to area libraries and sold to the public.
How do I become a story sponsor?
Honor a woman by contributing $300 to the YWCA. Honoring a
woman who inspires you will not only inspire other women, but also
provide tangible assistance to women and children throughout our
area. It may be paid by an individual or by a group, in one
payment or by placing a monthly payment of $30 on your credit card
for 10 months. Please submit the pledge form (see button
at left).
How will women and children be helped by my contribution?
At the YWCA of Lewiston, ID-Clarkston, WA, we provide safety,
shelter and empowering support to women, children and families in
five counties in central Idaho and two counties in Washington.
Your sponsorship will go toward supporting our domestic violence
shelter and our homeless shelter for families.
Who can I honor?
Any female can be honored. She may be living, or alive in
your memory. She may be from this area, or residing far away.
She may be elderly, or very young. She could be a relative,
teacher, personal hero, coworker, friend or any woman you feel
deserves the honor.
What is the deadline?
Stories, photos and pledges must be submitted by
June 30, 2010
to be published in the keepsake book.
