RHUBARB LEAF BIRDBATH
1 session............................. Saturday, July 19............................................. 10:00-Noon............................................. $29.82

Create a birdbath that looks like a jungle leaf.  Depending on your garden and your birdbath design, it can have a naturalizing effect, or it can create a unique garden focal point.  In class, you will pick out a rhubarb leaf and sand-cast it using a cement mixture.  When the mixture has dried, you remove the leaf.  What remains is the cement form, now looking like a leaf, with the veins and the outline intact. Sue Johnson has created her own birdbath and will help you to do the same.  Because of the outdoor space needed, this class will be held at Sue’s home. She will also provide the rhubarb and cement.  All you need to bring are rubber gloves and a plastic leaf bag.
